Controller/ Finance Manager for international company

Axpo Nordic is seeking an ambitious controller who is eager to take on the role as an active value-adding co-worker for the division. The position will be based in Oslo together with the Nordic finance team. We are looking for a Controller to take on the responsibility as a Financial Manager to cover the company’s operations in the Finnish and Baltic energy markets.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee outsourced functions for daily operations of Axpo Finland Oy, including accounting and invoicing service providers located in the Helsinki area
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts and budgets
• Analyze, monitor and ensure accuracy of financial information
• Transaction management and customer/vendor interface towards Finnish counterparties
• Cooperate with other functions in the company working towards the Finnish and Baltic energy markets on ad-hoc/ other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English
• Master’s degree in Business/Economics or equivalent, with proven good results
• Or Master students in their final semester
• Relevant work experience is a benefit, but not a necessity

Preferred Profile:

• Good command of a Nordic would be an advantage
• Ambitious and curious/ interested in learning and developing the required skills
• Takes initiative and responsibility for own tasks
• Able to work independently with good problem solving skills
• Good communications and inter-personal skills
• Strong numerical proficiency
• Attention to detail – whilst maintain a big-picture method to approaching tasks
