Director, Data Analytics and Investigation Support

Telenor Group Internal Audit & Investigation (GIAI) is the internal audit and investigation function for the Telenor Group. Our functional reporting is to the Telenor ASA Board of directors through the Board?s Risk and Audit Committee. Our goal is to be a global world-class 3rd line of defense function, enabling consistent high quality work to be performed across business areas and geographies. This is achieved through the combination of GIAI resources at Group level and resources located in various geographies, while it?s led and managed as one group-wide function. In total, our diverse team consists of + 40 auditors and investigators, and our team members are of 10 different nationalities.

About the Role
In the role you will play a key role in identifying and presenting factual evidences / information collected through Telenor and third parties systems to support audits and investigation conclusions. The function offers a global view on Telenor operations and access to all sort of different data, accounting, telecom, sourcing, forensic related, providing a flow of constant changing and challenging projects.

What you will do

• Support internal auditors and investigators with advanced data mining analyses
• Have the responsibility for covering data collection to conclude on results
• Extract data and perform analyzes on large volume of data for auditors and investigators
• Train and support auditors / investigators in the use of the data mining tools
• Develop scripts and  processes to work with larger volume of data in an efficient way
• Ensure compliance with company policies, especially Group Privacy guidelines
• Support, develop, and maintain the IT platforms used by GIA&I
• Forensic review of mobile phones and computers
• Review and support to other data analysts

As a Director, you will also be expected to review the data analysis and forensic work of others and do coaching. The role does not entail personnel responsibility beyond this.

Who you are 
We seek a person who can both interact well with a variety of different profile, able to work under pressure and also who is happy dealing with large volumes of data.

The following expertise will be critical to succeed in the role:

• You have some relevant work experience in one or several of the following fields: telecom, data mining, finance, audit
• You can easily work with datamining tools (ACL, IDEA or others) and/or Excel / Access
• You know scripting and programming
• If you have the knowledge and experience with forensic tools, that is a plus
• If you have the knowledge and experience with data visualization tools, that is a plus
• You are self-driven and you are not afraid of taking ownership of tasks and plans
• You like to have things organized, and being reliable and trustworthy is important to you
• You have a strong personal integrity; you are not afraid to be brave and speak up if you see that something is not right. It is important for you to walk your own talk.
• You are analytic, resourceful and solution-oriented
• You have an ability to quickly acquire and utilize knowledge on new technologies and solutions
• You can communicate fluently in English, both in writing and spoken

Educational and Experience Requirements  

• Significant experience, either in IT forensic, forensic accounting, data analysis, internal or external audit
• University degree within Finance/Accounting, telecom, IT,  Business Management, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent
• Experience from audit or investigation preferred
• The position will not have direct reports, but ability to coach and support the team is necessary
