NOV Completion Tools has an immediate opening for a Workshop Supervisor at our facility in Forus, Stavanger. You will lead a team of Technicians working with our downhole well Completion and Intervention tools product portfolio.


As a Workshop Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the workshop. You will oversee multiple projects from start to finish, where you will interact with our sales, engineering and supply chain departments. The work includes preparing, supervising and planning of workshop activities.


The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and work with a dedicated operations team. We are looking for a candidate that has worked with mechanical aspects of drilling and completion activities that has strong organisational skills, and is focused on safety and a high degree of quality in everything that is done.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scheduling manufacturing and operational activities in the workshop
  • Responsible for all workshop equipment and tools and ensuring they are maintained per internal and external standards
  • Responsible for weekly meetings including HSE and planning of upcoming week tasks
  • Participate and engage actively in the Operations department work tasks and be a motivator for the group
  • Adhere to, and promote company QHSE policies as well as client QHSE policies
  • Responsible for training technicians
  • Responsible for documentation related to tools and equipment
  • Ensure that work in the workshop is conducted in a safe environmentally sound manner by appropriately trained and competent personnel
  • Responsible for making sure jobs are completed on time
  • Responsible for ensuring the products quality
  • Assist with manufacturing and operational tasks in the workshop

 

 Qualifications and skills: 

  • Excellent planning ability and implementation capacity
  • Good communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to motivate individuals and teams
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written
  • Technical Education or relevant experience
  • Structured and self-motivated with a drive to succeed
  • High degree of responsibility of fulfilling the interests of both the client and Company
  • Good knowledge of well construction, completion and intervention principles and operations
  • Practical experience in handling documentation
  • High degree of order, punctuality and responsibility towards customers, suppliers, employees and the employer
  • Analytic and economic orientated
  • Good understanding of mechanics, hydraulics and electronics
  • Good organizational skills and able to handle a complex and hectic workday
