Compliance & Internal Audit Manager

Job Description:

PGS is looking for a Compliance & Internal Audit (C&IA) Manager to support the department with the running of the Anti-corruption Compliance Program and performing Internal Audits to ensure risks are appropriately managed. This role will take a lead in the planning, execution and reporting of internal audits within defined focus areas, execute business process and value chain audits, as well as oversee and help develop the Company’s Compliance and Ethics Program.

Main tasks: 

Internal audit

• Prepare audit programs/procedures for planned Internal Audit projects and conducting evaluations  
• Perform control reviews to ensure adequate performance & evaluate deficiencies
• Prepare and review work-papers documenting audit procedures
• Write and review reports ensuring clear communication of project results. 

Compliance

• Perform PGS global corruption risk assessments
• Develop, initiate, maintain and revise compliance policies and guidance
• Monitor performance and operational effectiveness of PGS’ Anti-Corruption Program
• Develop and implement education and training programs and provide compliance training
• Provide day-to-day compliance consulting.

Planning & Management

• Conduct annual risk assessments including financial, non-financial and fraud risk areas
• Assist in developing the annual Compliance and Audit plans
• Provide for and share best practices across business groups and support in developing group wide tools and methods
• Coordinate activities with financial auditors as required.

Qualifications:

• University degree in business administration/ finance/ accounting/ auditing or related field
• Professional certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
• 4 - 8 years of relevant work experience is preferred
• Experience from ‘Big Four’ or from compliance organisations, corporate law or the oil-service industry is an advantage.

• Exhibit high ethical standards and professionalism
• Demonstrate excellent communication capabilities, both oral and written English (working language), fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to present various topics convincingly including influencing at high level in the company
• Can manage projects on his/her own, delegate authority, meet deadlines, self-driven and independent working style
• Feel comfortable in a dynamic business environment, able to handle different tasks at the same time and set priorities
• Motivated to work in a diverse cultural environment
• Proficiency in MS Excel and/or data analysis tools. 

Note: Approximately 15-30 days per year of travel per year, therefore flexibility with regards to mobility and work schedule is required. Applicants for the position need to reside in Norway or have permit to work in Norway.
