Do you want to work in a fast pace project environment and give QHSE support on several exciting projects? Archer Engineering is now looking for a QHSE Lead.

The QHSE Lead is designated to take the lead role for QHSE within Engineering Norway and will also have a coordinating role towards Engineering UK.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the QHSE team within Engineering Norway.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining QHSE processes in compliance with internal and client requirements, standards, governing rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular QHSE reviews of internal processes, verify suitability to our business objectives and drive continuous improvement programs.
  • Promote and provide discipline engineering services to the projects (eg. Working environment, risk assessments, design reviews, safety, quality assurance etc).
  • Secure that the projects are given efficient tools for monitoring and following up safety and quality
  • Conduct and lead internal and external audits and do follow-up of recommendations
  • Ensure that the department’s Key Performance Indicators are reported and monitored as required and communicate reports to relevant managers at regular intervals. Seek opportunities for improvements.
  • Support risk owners in conducting, maintaining and evaluation of risk analysis
  • Follow up risk mitigating actions throughout the entire project phase
  • Investigate, analyse, and follow up QHSE incidents
  • Participate as relevant in tender processes for Norway
  • Contact person toward Archer`s occupational health company (International SOS) for Engineering
  • Follow up actions in yearly QHSE plan
  • Ensure efficient tools for experience transfer (Lessons Learned)
  • Responsible for maintaining the Material Safety Data Sheet archive
  • Engage in the company’s QHSE network in order to seek and share experience.
  • Prepare regular Synergi status reports to the department and follow up that actions are completed as required.
  • Assist with development of internal HSE & Quality Plans.

Preferred background and qualifications
  • Higher Education (Bachelor Degree within the discipline is desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a drilling contractor.
  • Leadership experience
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English oral and written is a must.
  • Structured, analytical and proactive work attitude – eager to support the organization and drive for continuous improvement.
  • High integrity to business compliance.
