Excellent career opportunities are currently available within Norner's R&D group in the area of additives for polymers. The position is related to a wide area from design of additive recipes for customer needs, additive quality testing and new developments. The main target for Norner is development of sustainable plastic solutions. Within the additive area, research projects and client projects involve areas such as:
- New design of additive recipes for a targeted application
- Design and testing of new additive solutions for enhanced performance or cost reduction
- Qualification of new additives regarding purity and performance
- Non-intentional-added substances (NIAS) problematics and design of new solutions
- New additive solutions for mechanical recycling related to odour and polymer properties
- Improvement and new development of analysis methods for additives
The position involves close contact with customers and work related to new solutions in the whole value chain, including project work within compounding, processing and end-use application of plastics.
The work will be in several areas (assignment will be depended on the qualification of the candidate):
- Participate to drive continued improvements in testing/evaluation and strategies
- Compile & analyse data to ensure quality/insight and provide data to customers and project teams, provide recommendation for improvement
- Knowledge sharing seminars
- Close contact to additive suppliers, polymer producers and converters
- Development of new methods for additive analysis
- Project Management
You must have:
- Master’s degree in chemical engineering or Chemistry (preferable PhD related to polymers or work experience related to polymer industry)
- Minimum of 4 years experience working in laboratory or R&D environment
