You will be part of the team crafting the next generation of cloud-based solutions with your efforts centered on user experience, leveraging microservices for basin exploration and geological interpretation that utilize the capabilities of cloud, big data, high performance computing and machine learning. The solution will be deployed in the DELFI cognitive environment enabling workflows that cross multiple disciplines and integrates with existing petrotechnical software. You will have the ability to influence the technology stack and you can focus on the cloud infrastructure components, integration and optimization of the algorithms and frontend architecture.

Some examples of technologies we use are public cloud infrastructure (PaaS) for storage and compute, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, Javascript/Java, Python, C#, Docker and Kubernetes.  More information about DELFI is found here: https://www.software.slb.com/delfi.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Builds sophisticated and elegant user interfaces

• Collaborates with UX and visual designers, developers and product owners to implement scalable and interactive applications.

• Identifies and keeps abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.

• Provides technical leadership and documentation to developers and stakeholders.

• Applies usability procedures and principles as defined at project or product-line level or through customer input.

• Builds prototypes, products and systems that meets the project quality standards and requirements.

• Contributes to and supports re-use through common components that are well documented and tested.

• Interacts and engages with customers, users, and product managers and technical architects to understand needs and increase positive impact of users’ experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors (or equivalent industrial experiences) / Masters / PhD degree in science or engineering with software experience or education.

• Core competencies in Web technologies: Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, SVG, Angular, and Node.js

• Solid knowledge of Restful architecture and use cases 

• Knowledge/experience/awareness in maintainability and testing.

• Basic knowledge of application networking and troubleshooting

• Knowledge/experience/awareness in web application architecture development (dynamic component composition, data navigation and business processes)
