Vard Electro AS has secured new orders in both existing and new market segments. Due to this, we are looking for new staff with experience within design of electrical installation for our Governmental Programmes department.

We are seeking Engineers/Senior Engineers who will be a part of a team to solve technical Challenges. You will provide vendor furnished information and make necessary documentation of design vessels as well as verification of technical data from various suppliers. You will also design review meetings both internally and externally.

Duties and responsibilities

Provide vendor furnished information and make necessary documentation for design of vessels.
Verification of technical data from various suppliers
Be a part of the team to solve technical challenges
Validate the electrical systems requirements are accurately captured in the design requirements documentation
Support design reviews meetings both internally and externally

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering or similar
Experience from maritime industry is an advantage

Preferred additional skills/experience in a marine industry:

Preferred additional skills would be having experience with:
Power distribution
Load Balance
Lightning calculation
Electrical motors
Fire alarm systems
Communication systems
Segregation requirements due to redundancy/safety/DP
Class Society rules regarding electrical installation and systems
Automation systems and I/O list compilation
Cable routing 3D modelling

Personal Qualities:

Resourceful, self-managed and goal driven with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong analytical, and technical writing skills
Systematic and thorough in design approach
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English and Norwegian, written and oral

Security screening
This position requires security clearance. Applicants must have citizenship with a NATO member state.
