Cognite’s European sales team is looking for tenacious sales development representatives to join our growing sales team in Oslo. Help us solve real-world problems while streamlining the industry of manufacturing or oil & gas in Europe. This role is one of the first touchpoints for prospects and key resellers. It has the opportunity to set the tone for the sales cycle following.

What you’ll need to do:

  • Penetrate target accounts with a multi-channel approach and schedule demonstrations and meetings for your colleagues on the sales team
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Work closely with account executives to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools
  • Effectively partner and work across the Cognite’s teams - including Marketing
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone, email, and social media.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Cognite’s product offerings
  • Shadow your dedicated Account Executive in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skills you’ll need for your next role on Cognite’s sales team.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience with sales development within the technology space
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting through effective use of sales tools: Salesforce, LinkedIn, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Motivated to design the best practices for this role to be used internationally within Cognite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • The capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business value that can be provided by Cognite
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving production goals from an assigned territory or set of accounts
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience
  • Language: English (required), Scandinavian (bonus) or German (bonus)
