Engineer - Completion Tools

With exciting prospects and increasing workload in our Halliburton Completion Tools department, we are looking for ambitious engineers who wish to be part of our team. We are looking for people who are motivated, committed and who wish to contribute to the further growth of Halliburton?s Multilateral Technology group.

The Engineer works closely with the customer to identify and optimize solutions for their specific challenges. This person will be an important part of our local engineering team as well as communicating closely with resources in our global organization.

Job description:

• Provide technical support, recommendations and expertise to our customers
• Identify the optimal solutions for operators on the NCS
• Take control of your own projects from concept stage to installation
• Responsible for calculations, simulations, risk assessments and procedures in connection with completion designs and operations
• Work closely with the Project Coordinator to plan all details for offshore operations
• Participate actively in pre and post job meetings with both customers and offshore operators
• Technical support for both workshop and offshore employees
• Assist sales department with customer presentations and contract work
• Some domestic and offshore travel can be expected

Qualifications:

• Bachelor (BSc) or Master degree (MSc) within relevant technical disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Drilling / Completion operations is required
• Technical knowledge of Lower/Upper/Intelligent Completion/Multilateral Technology/ Liner Hangers            
• Experience of planning and executing offshore operations, both Subsea and Platform
• Experience with software such as Wellcat, Wellplan, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar is an advantage
• Able to handle both English and Norwegian as working language

The candidate must have good organizational skills and able to handle a hectic working environment.
 

Candidates should have good communication and collaborative skills. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as in a larger team.
