The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for quality inspection /quality assurance activities. This includes interpretation and implementation of quality standards to routine inspection/testing and manufacturing activities. Assisting the Quality Manager in regards of;


Duties and responsibilities:  

·       Verify/ensure that all the materials/components used on the projects, are “in compliance” with the project and customer/project specifications.

·       Perform incoming inspection activities using statistical sampling, “first article inspection” and 100% inspection techniques, count/verify quantities. Checking conformance to project specifications and “PO” requirements.

·       Perform non-conforming product holds, identify the type of defect on the part/item, tag the part/item and administer proper containment.

·       Register incoming goods/parts/items in/out of stock in company ERP, as required.

·       Generating incoming inspection reports, dimensional reports and other quality related documents/procedures/records. Prepares and completes all applicable release documentation.

·       Ensure control/calibration of measuring/testing equipment.

·       Identify “nonconformities” during manufacturing operations, “In-Process” quality control.  

·       Maintain standards of Quality and Safety and comply with Company’s “QHSE” Management System requirements.

·       Perform “Final Inspection”, “Mechanical Completion”, “Release of goods” and Inspect final labels for accuracy on in-house generated labels

·       Contribute in continuous improvement activities.

·       Assist Quality Manager in regards of the Company’s Quality Management System

·       Carries out other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanics/Mechatronics or other related fields

·       Qualifications and experiences in QM Systems ISO 9001-2015

·       Experiences from O&G Industry

·       Mechanical/machine shop experience.

·       Knowledge of quality tools and its use

·       Proven experience: Min 1 to 2 years’ experience as QC Engineer in Machining areas, preferable within Oil&Gas Industry related supply chain

·       Good understanding of international standards.


Competencies:

·       Pro-active and self-driven. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

·       Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry and supply chain

·       Logical and realistic team player with focus on result and Quality/HSE.

·       Flexible, high work capacity with multitasking skills.

·       Good understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical tolerances.

·       Communication skills: fluent in English, verbal and written, Scandinavian language a plus.

·       Be able to estimate work tasks and deliver to agreed project schedule.

·       Experience with ERP systems e.g. Monitor, Vault.

·       Reporting and documentation skills

·       Hands on approach
