Operational Manager - in charge of Procurement and Production

You will be responsible of the Operation in regards of supply chain management, procurement and production incl. Inventory and Warehousing. Production consists of manufacturing, assembly, testing, HW/SW integration and calibration of Abbon’s Multiphase Flow Meters and Flow Computers. You will manage and inspire a small cross functional team to ensure that our client’s expectations in regards of quality, delivery time and costs are fulfilled. After successful familiarisation, the position will take part in ABBON’s leader group.

Duties and responsibilities:  

• Operational responsibility for procurement, supply chain management, manufacturing, inventory and warehouse
• Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, quality oriented and cost-effective way
• Maintain and improve operational management system, processes and best practice
• Support organization’s processes remain legally compliant
• Formulate and implement strategic and operational objectives
• Manage budgets and forecasts
• Perform quality controls and monitor operational/production KPI’s  
• Recruit, train and supervise staff
• Find ways to increase quality and improve delivery time and reduce costs
• Maintain and improve stock levels and inventory management
• Organize the production in line with the working methods, procedures and instructions.
• Keep company management informed regarding production status and planning
• Ensure appropriate production equipment and facilities
• Team oriented and close cooperation with Project Management, Engineering and R&D

Qualifications:

• MSc or BSc degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Min 5 years proven experiences as operational/production manager

Requirements:

• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management incl. ERP system
• Experience budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with business and financial principles
• Leadership ability
• Structured team worker with focus on quality
• Hands on mentality
• Flexible, high work capacity with multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Be able to estimate work tasks and deliver to agreed timescales
