Control System Engineer

We are looking for a Control System Engineer who will be involved in all aspects of Control System work including, design, programming, workshop assembly and test support as well as offshore support including troubleshooting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver topside and subsea control system and software for projects, including writing procedures and specifications
• Assist in support and troubleshooting of operations offshore
• Support procurement, 3rd party manufacturers, workshop and offshore operations for equipment that you designed to ensure that it is implemented as intended and operationally functional
• Supervise assembly and testing in new projects or solutions
• Assist in the design and planning of rig integration of EDR equipment onto offshore installations
• Go offshore to perform rig site visits and system commission
• Act as technical interface with clients, as required
• Assist Product line in support of sales efforts
• Be capable of leading outsourced engineering work to 3rd parties

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation, Automation, Cybernetics, or other relevant degree
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience within subsea control system or topside control system, however we also encourage recent graduates to apply
• Knowledge of communications protocols
• Knowledge of Software architecture and software Development
• Preferred- Knowledge Hazardous Zone requirements
• Preferred- Knowledge and experience with subsea hydraulic system
• Preferred - Drilling rig experience and overall understanding of the drilling process
• Preferred – Experience working with VSD
• Preferred – Knowledge of offshore and subsea regulations and standards (Norsok, ISO/API 13628-6, DNV-OS-E101, etc.)
• Master English, both verbal and written
• Must be able to travel abroad and offshore
