About Gexcon
Gexcon is a world-leading company in the field of safety and risk management and advanced dispersion, explosion and fire modelling. Our experience arises from detailed knowledge of explosion phenomena built up for more than 40 years of extensive research projects, carrying out safety assessments, performing accident investigations and performing physical testing at the company's dedicated facilities.
Gexcon's expertise and knowledge is recognized by many practitioners and experts in various industrial sectors, including both the conventional and green(hydrogen) energy sector.
Gexcon has been continuously developing and commercializing the 3D CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) consequence modelling software tool FLACS for the last 35 years and it has become the de facto industry standard in many applications. We recently added the EFFECTS and RISKCURVES software, originally developed by TNO in the Netherlands, to our suite of Gexcon software to expand our software offering for simulations of accidental phenomena beyond the FLACS suite.
In addition to software development, we are active globally in safety consulting (including accident investigation) and medium/large scale fire and explosion testing at our own test sites.
Gexcon has their headquarters in Bergen, Norway and has subsidiaries in Australia, China, France, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Our software is developed in our offices in Norway, the Netherlands and India.
