Role Summary:

 

The Mechanical Engineer will have the responsibility of the execution of the technical tasks assigned as part of a team or individually. Mechanical Engineer can lead and make technical decision with minimum help to execute the tasks within the schedule and maintain quality. The Mechanical Engineer will conduct detail/conception engineering, repair, modification, recertification, mob/demob, workshop testing and documentation.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute and lead the given engineering tasks/projects (Independently or part of a team), according to Baker Hughes and international standards and procedures.
  • Follow up, give instructions and guidelines to Engineers when leading task
  • Lead in Technical Investigations and Studies
  • Flexibility to work in multiple subsea and offshore product lines as required
  • Interpretation of customer standards and global practices in relation to national and international standards
  • Provide support to Workshop and Offshore operations
  • Create/Review/Approval of engineering Parts/Documents/Procedures/Study Reports/ Design/Requirement as per industry and company guidelines
  • Support CTR process and create scope of work
  • Customer contact during Technical Clarifications
  • Provide OTR/workshop day to day support by solving non-conformances and general services
  • Responsible for the quality and the execution of the technical task assigned, promoting and ensuring compliance to company and regulatory Quality management systems at all time
  • Progress reports of the tasks assigned and take ownership in follow up cost and on time delivery
  • Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory EHS requirements & expectations at all time
  • Possessing technical ownership of all product group’s procedures and documentation
  • Perform systems approach in task and projects
  • Introducing cost-reduction measures, efficiency and standardization in the design process
  • Act as a link between Global Product and Service Engineering and Nordic Services, providing technical support when needed
  • Other tasks may be assigned if deemed necessary

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

                                                                             

  • Masters/Bachelor within Mechanical Engineering or Marine Technology
  • Experience and proven track record with Oil & Gas subsea product.
  • Experience and knowledge within mechanical design
  • Knowledge of International & National Regulations
  • Ability to lead engineering project to completion
  • Ability to gain progress and efficient solutions
  • Ability to find and execute cost reduction, increased efficiency and standardization
  • Strong cooperation skills to work global and cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrate commercial understanding.
  • Proven results in similar position
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Good English communication skills both oral and written
