We are looking for a dedicated professional for a key role in KUFPEC Norway s Finance Department

The position will support the department head and will coordinate accounting and reporting tasks within the company. You are probably a person who easily takes the initiative to make improvements when you see opportunities. You have a sound accounting background and you have a “hands on” operating style. We look for you who naturally forms good working relationships and who can balance patience and progress.

Scope of work

• Lead the monthly and annual accounts closing and reporting processes
• Prepare financial reports and related analyses on a timely basis
• Respond to ad hoc requests and stay in close contact with Head Office in Kuwait
• Play an active role in the budgeting and forecasting process
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and streamlining of the finance process

 
Education, experience and skills

• Bachelor or Master within finance/accounting/auditing
• Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry 
• Good understanding of IFRS accounting principles
• Experience within oil and gas taxation would be preferable
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and especially Excel
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
• Execution capabilities and used to "get things done"
• Ability to plan ahead and work in a structured manner
• Open-minded, flexible and able to work independently as well as in teams
