We are looking for an Umbilical Engineer for our client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with sales department, Early Engineering Engagement department, supply chain and project department
Establish technical requirements for umbilical manufacturer according to customer specification and generic specifications
Review technical documentation from customer and umbilical manufacturer
Participate in QA work and audits towards vendors
Participate in standardization work in the department
Make suggestions for cost saving and simplifications when possible
Perform witness points and inspections as required
Meetings with customers and suppliers
Employee can be requested to perform other work as requested by department manager

Qualifications:

MSc/BSc of relevant field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from subsea umbilical / subsea cable manufacturing and/or design of such
Preferably experience with reviewing technical documentation and required analysis’s for subsea umbilical’s (mechanical analysis incl. dynamic analysis, VIV analysis, fatigue analysis, electromagnetic analysis, thermal analysis etc.)
Experience from electrical engineering or installation of umbilicals/cables will be valued
