We are seeking a Global Finance and Grants Coordinator in our Department for International Programmes. As our new Coordinator, you will have a complete overview of all finance and budget-related matters within NCA’s International Department. This involves, among other things, coordination with dedicated Grants Managers as well as providing strategic advice to the Director of International Programmes. In addition to this, the position will be responsible for the development and implementation of internal routines and procedures. 

As our new employee, you are educated and have relevant experience in finance and budgeting. You are structured, analytical, able to see the full picture and good at strategic planning, but you also enjoy getting into the details when needed. You work in an organized and methodical manner and demand a high level of achievement. You enjoy working independently in line with defined goals and frameworks and have good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently. 

As Global Finance and Grants Coordinator, you will become part of the largest department in NCA and will be part of an international environment with committed, motivated and highly skilled colleagues. The position reports directly to the Director of International Programmes. 

Responsibilities 

  • Comprehensive overview NCA’s Department of International Programmes budgets 
  • Coordinate our development and humanitarian aid budget via: 
  • Control of internal grants approval forms 
  • Annual allocations / reallocations to the country offices 
  • Follow-up of the country offices burn rates 
  • Overall overview of Norwegian and international donor agreements 
  • Close coordination with the dedicated Grant Managers in the International Department 
  • Development of internal procedures for budgeting and reporting 

Qualifications 

  • Higher education in finance. 
  • 3 - 5 years relevant work experience. 
  • Strategic planning and consulting experience. 
  • Experience working with Norwegian development and humanitarian aid. Direct work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Norad is an advantage. As is experience from working with other institutional donors. 
  • Project manager and / or process manager experience is also an advantage. 
  • Very good written and oral skills in Norwegian and English. 
  • Good IT and system knowledge, including the ability to learn and use new tools and systems.
