Electrical Engineer

Aker Solutions based in Trondheim, is responsible for delivering quality service, safely, on time, within budget whilst ensuring the technical integrity of onshore and offshore assets. We actively promote the highest standards of HSEQ and at all times act within the Aker Solutions Just Care procedures. The SEIT engineering department, consisting of experienced, engineering personnel, is seeking to strengthen the team through the recruitment of experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineers at senior grade.

We are seeking a technical competent resource who will work with engineering concepts and development of detail design. The work includes evaluation of power generation and distribution, power analyses as well as cost, measurement and weight estimation in a multi discipline environment. You can exprect to participate in power system analyses, carry out single and inter-discipline checks, conduct onshore / offshore surveys and manage electrical system packaged equipment

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Participate in concept studies
• Contribute in FEED and project execution 
• Follow up modification of existing onshore- and offshore installations
• Project responsible for activities for High and Low Power supply
• Execute technical duties in a competent and professional manner 

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Educated to HNC/HND level in engineering discipline
• Educated to degree level in engineering discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
• Relevant professional experience
• Ability to direct and guide engineers and designers
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
• Good team working skills
• Pro-active attitude

 

Relevant candidates have sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards. You are conversant with appropriate technical software and aware of latest technical developments. Current offshore survival certificate and medical is desirable.
