Primary Production Assistant

Gentian is an ambitious and fast-growing diagnostic manufacturer looking for a new Primary Production Assistant.

The Primary Production department in Gentian AS is producing raw materials to be used in the production of clinical chemistry reagents for the diagnostic industry. The main raw material processed by the Primary Production department is antibodies produced from eggs coming from immunized hens. The Primary Production Assistant will produce the antibodies in a huge scale and with a growing demand, but also be involved in other raw materials produced in this department. The person we are looking for must enjoy rough chemistry, have interest for upscaling processes and be quality oriented.

Work tasks:

The work tasks will be to ensure good and even quality of the raw materials to be used in the production of diagnostic reagents:

Main task:

• Extraction of antibodies from egg yolk

Other tasks:

• Purification of antigen using columns
• Buffer production
• Process optimization and up-scaling processes

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• Certificate of apprenticeship in laboratory work or equivalent
• Laboratory experience, minimum 1 year.
• Knowledge within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is an advantage
• Good English and Norwegian communication skills
• Good computer skills
