We are looking for our next Process Engineer - Early Phase

Are you a young passionate Process Engineer that see yourself in the future as part of a dynamic international business? Are you a strong, creative and innovative individual with a sense of urgency and with an interest for a broader conceptual understanding of process technologies?

Then you are the Process Engineer - Early Phase colleague we are looking for. You will be part of an international early phase group to pursue new and innovative FPSO opportunities for Teekay Offshore Production, worldwide.

We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, self-driven and motivated by learning. Able to understand the wider opportunities and implications of technology development within their own field, capturing lessons learned and confidentially contribute to an overall improvement of our FPSO business. Your tasks will be to assist in developing new process designs for the future with focus on environmental friendly, digitalized and cost optimized solutions.

You will be working as part of a multi-discipline team under guidance of long-time experienced process engineers, with the intention of being the lead Early Phase Process Engineer in time.

Some of the things you will be doing

  • Perform various Front End Process studies
  • Create functional & cost-effective designs that meet complex client specifications and relevant national regulations
  • Prepare conceptual design and solutions for new build FPSOs
  • Identify optimized technical solutions for modifications of existing FPSO designs to fit new oil field opportunities
  • Produce a broad spectrum of core process engineering and related deliverables to a FEED level of detail
  • Prepare documentation, reports or presentation on the key elements of the studies and/or analysis performed
  • Prepare in depth documentation, reports, technical data and/or papers
  • Cooperate with team members, internal or external resources to ensure overall optimized multidiscipline solutions
  • Contribute to preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets and status reports when required
  • Actively participate in innovation within field of expertise, working closely with internal and external stakeholders

What we are looking for

  • You hold a relevant, higher level of technical education and have about 5 years relevant experience
  • You are self-driven and used to work independently, but at the same time perform well as part of a larger multi discipline team
  • It is an advantage if you are familiar with requirements in international design standards (IEC, API, etc.), as well as national regulatory requirements
  • You can as part of a broader team represent the company in early engagement meetings with potential clients, to establish long term positive relationships
  • You are confident holding presentations
  • You have strong customer focus
  • You must be flexible on travels both onshore and offshore
  • You enjoy working in a flexible environment where every day brings new challenges
  • You have to be comfortable having professional discussions in English and should be comfortable with Norwegian
