Sevendof is hiring DevOps and Front-End Engineers

Sevendof is a startup in Trondheim focused on building the drone infrastructure of the future. We seek to make drones available as a service to businesses for purposes such as inspection, mapping, and search and rescue. Sevendof will operate a network of long-range drones which are stationed in the field, enabling missions to be carried out automatically.

We are now hiring a DevOps Engineer and a Front-End Engineer to help bring our first production system to life.

DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely together with the software and autonomy team to improve and maintain our test, build and deployment pipelines for our server side systems and systems on-board drone vehicles and drone stations.

Required skills:

• A higher education degree in Computer Science, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on challenging tasks
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD solution
• Solid skills in scripting, preferably using shell and Python
• Experience with Linux development toolchain and packaging (gcc, clang, git, cmake, deb, etc.)
• Experience creating, maintaining and deploying Docker images
• Experience with cloud solutions AWS, GCloud, Azure or similar

Preferred skills:

• Experience with configuration management systems
• Experience with source code management systems (GitHub, GitLab)
• Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine
• Experience with instrumentation and automatic monitoring of deployed services
• Experince with ROS build system (catkin/ament)
• Experience with Linux networking
• Experience with general networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Experience with custom Linux system images
• Experience with Docker compose

Front-End Engineer

As a Front-End Engineer, you will build web applications for ordering and coordinating drone missions, visualizing telemetry and mission data, as well as administering the drone platform.

Required skills:

• A higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on challenging tasks
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks
• Ability to implement web designs from mockups
• Experience developing modern and performant web applications
• Passion and motivation for solving complex tasks
• Drive to challenge yourself and learn

Preferred skills:

• Experience with REST API usage
• Experience with Websockets / Server Sent Events
• Experience with UX design
• Experience with back-end technologies
