We seek an experienced Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Aker Solutions EPM based in Bergen have an open permanent position as Senior Technical Safety Engineer in Aker Solutions Sandsli.

At the moment 15 highly qualified Safety Engineers are working in Aker Solutions Sandsli. The engineers are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services. We need experienced engineers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Brownfield market. 

Responsibilities and tasks:

The discipline is responsible for safety and environment within our brownfield portfolio. In this position You will be responsible for:

• Design and follow-up of safety barriers such as; F&G design, firewater design and calculations, passive fire protection design, follow-up and implementation of 3rd part risk analysis, planning, execution and close-out of safety reviews
• Participate in the engineering of Front End,- Conceptual- and FEED Studies, M&M Projects in addition to major Modification- and Decommissioning Projects
• Contribute to the development of methodology, tools and competency within the Safety Discipline

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience of technical safety engineering and design from the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in Norway
• Higher relevant degree technical education, BSc, MSc or equivalent
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards within the safety discipline

• Communicate well both in Norwegian and English (written and spoken)
• Take initiative and responsibility
• Have excellent teamwork and cooperation skills
• Be flexible
