Category Manager/Senior Buyer in OHPC

Orkla Home and Personal Care (OHPC) has a turnover of 3 000 MNOK and offices in 8 countries. The company has during years made several acquisitions expanding its portfolio of both own produced products and traded goods.

OHPC has a strong Nordic presence and scale, with go-to-market organizations in all markets and a complete Nordic value chain. We have leading brands in 9 categories and over approximately 60 brands, for example Jordan, Zalo, Grumme, Lano, Family Fresh and Bliw.

Orkla Group Procurement consists of around 150 procurement professionals and the two main parts of this organization are the Strategic Sourcing and Tactical Sourcing teams. Strategic Sourcing has the main objective to realize cross-company sourcing synergies both with regards to cost and innovation. Tactical Sourcing are company-based teams securing efficient implementation of new suppliers, supporting innovation projects and handling of daily purchasing operations.

Main responsibilities

• 
  Run tenders in OHPC unique categories, following the road map for the period 2019-2021
  
• Management of a part of the Traded Goods portfolio, including close collaboration with strategic suppliers
• Secure supply within own categories and support operations by supply/quality challenges
• Key participant in sustainability, innovation and Design-to-value projects (Innovation and value chain projects)
• Coordination of procurement process eg. revenue management and cost development
  
  

Education and experience:

• Relevant business degree (BA level)
• Minimum 3 years of experience within purchasing
• Fluent in one Scandinavian language and English

You thrive both working in teams and independently and feel comfortable having a lead role in projects. We would love for you to be commercially savvy and have awareness of stakeholder management.

Relevant travelling is expected, 20 – 30 days pr year
