BIM 3D Engineer - Jotun

Jotun aims to execute new investment projects with right quality, on time and budget. In that respect, we will implement BIM as a central tool in project execution. Target is to share knowledge within the company and among our stakeholders.  

We are now looking for a new BIM 3D Engineer in Group Technical. In standardization of our factories, you shall take lead on tasks related to computer aideddesign in BIM 3D. In projects, you shall ensure efficientimplementation of BIM 3D and systems for technical documentation. In thefuture, Jotun aims to maintain and develop our standards and concepts in BIM.

Duties and responsibilities

• Establish BIM 3D competence as a global competitive advantage for execution of investment projects
• BIM 3D procedures and guidelines 
• Develop BIM handbook as steering document for design in projects
• Train project organizations and technical resources, group, regional and local personnel
• Train and set requirements to consultant, contractors, suppliers and engineering resources 
• Work closely with other group functions, regions and locations  
• Coordinate and execute multidiscipline design check and collision check
• In peak periods, support projects with BIM 3D drawing capacity
• Evaluation of consultant, contractors, suppliers and engineering resources 
• Some travelling must be expected, approximately 20-50 days per year 

Qualifications

• Bachelor`s or Master`s degree 
• Mechanical Engineer in construction. Alternatively, other relevant education and/or experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience, graduates can also apply
• Knowledge and experience in design by BIM 3D
