MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Manage and negotiate key labor contracts for UK/Norway Manufacturing Sites and improve them to drive safety, controls, reliability and expense efficiency; support and implement site and regional manufacturing initiatives; manage key supplier relationships to maximize value delivery of our contractors.

JOB DUTIES:

* Extensive interaction with internal business clients to clarify requirements, agree on procurement strategies and tactics, address queries and issues

* Extensive interaction with external suppliers to negotiate and award term-agreements and Spot contracts (owns portfolio and addresses queries and issues), including business line support for potential supplier qualification activity

* Preparing Procurement Plans (procurement tactic)

* Preparing tenders, RFQ's, sealed bids, conducting reverse auction events and related duties

* Develop bid slate, package assembly, bid clarifications, conditioning, analysis/evaluation, award

* Input data into applicable contract database

* Perform supplier assessment/qualification (predominately commercial)

* Coordinate/facilitate technical assessment with local procurement/client

* Work with local procurement /client on resolution of supplier qualification gaps

* Contract and commercial terms development

* Proactively implementing claim mitigation strategies and potential subsequent claim resolution

* Conduct functional reviews as required with Tax, Law, and other functions

* Prepare and execute amendments, change orders (changes, extensions, renewals)

* Supplier relationship management within portfolio, including, monitoring, evaluating and reporting suppliers conformance with contract KPI's where applicable

* Develops Procurement Integration Plans (PIP) and coordinates across Procurement Category Family groups to gather required input

* Leads cross-category opportunity identification for PIP

* Leads agreement action plan review meetings

* Stewards procurement activity against PIP

* Represent Procurement at various Client leadership, strategy, stakeholder and governance activities

* Coordinates / Provides Procurement support for client initiatives and issue resolution

* Represents Procurement in Business Project development and planning meetings as required

* First responder for resolution of Procurement/supplier issues

* Ad-hoc SAP/Purchase to Pay (PtP) Process troubleshooting 

LANGUAGE NEEDS:

* Fluent Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIRED:

* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Civil or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a manufacturing mechanical, contract admin or project experience or

* Business/Supply Chain/Logistics degree with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing mechanical, contract admin or project experience

DESIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

* Strong Ethics, Controls and Safety focus

* Negotiation skills, commercial and contractual, including significant claim resolution experience

* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

* Some ERP transactional knowledge

* Knowledgeable of manufacturing networks and other maintenance work planning processes

* Strong customer service skills
