Deputy Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor

We are hiring a Deputy Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (D-CTKI) at Pilot Flight Academy!

D-CTKI supports the supervision and standardisation of all Theoretical Knowledge Instructors.
D-CTKI will have the personnel responsibility for all the Theoretical Knowledge Instructors.
D-CTKI reports to the CTKI.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
Management of personnel
Assist CTKI in his/her responsibilities 
Handling of findings and reports
Planning and execution of all theoretical knowledge instruction
Standardisation and supervision of all theoretical knowledge instructors
Progress monitoring and record-keeping of students during their theory phase
Inform CTKI of students with unsatisfactory progress 
The inspection of classrooms, audio/visual aids and teaching materials

Qualification requirements:
The applicant should hold or have held a commercial pilot license
Extensive experience as a theoretical knowledge instructor in the areas relevant for training provided by the ATO
Speak and write fluent English
Legal right to live and work in Norway
Clean criminal record

Able to follow routines and procedures

Practical information:
This is a nominated position and needs to be approved by the CAA.

This position may include up to 30% flying and/or theoretical instruction.
PFA covers potential expenses for keeping a valid FI-license.

Workplace:
The primary workplace is Torp, Sandefjord. Travelling to other bases must however be expected.
We offer normal working hours with mutual flexibility.

Upon employment, the selected candidates have to apply for The Civil Aviation Authority of Norways background check and are approved to hold a mandatory access card that gives access to the security clearance area at the airport.
