Inmarsat play a critical role as a global mobile satellite communication provider. For them to maintain this position, it is crucial that scheduling and orders are well managed and controlled. Are you up for being in charge of that?

Inmarsat is operating across 4 business units; Maritime, Enterprise, Global Government, and Aviation. As our Scheduling Manager, you will be a part of the Inmarsat's Chief Operations Office (COO), which plays a vital role managing the services that keep our business running and delivering to our customers. COO consists of 9 functions from Satellite Operations to Customer Service and Service Delivery, Network Operations and Service Assurance to Group IT, One IT, Cyber Security and the Digital office.
We want you to manage our qualified team of Master Schedulers and Purchasers and develop team and routines for current and future requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, lead and operationalise Order Intake meetings across business units
- Be the functional specialist for master scheduling across business units and product areas
- Contribute to development and enhancement of mathematical models and algorithms
- Preparation of schedule proposals to meet known or forecast demands for equipment for installations, upgrades, or spares while assessing risks and inventory implications
- Assessment of the risk, inventory, capacity and financial implications of the proposed demand plan
- Monitoring of metrics and performance data as well as having a key role in management of product and planning data in CRM solutions
- Support regular reviews with verticals in Business Units on demand plan developments
- Support new product introduction activities, with internal & external supply chain, to mitigate risks and delivery issues
- Contribute in process development for Planning & Control
- Supplier Management
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Preferably a MSc in supply chain or logistics
- Minimum 10 years of planning & control or supply chain experience required (or related)
- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems for scheduling and planning processes as well as financial implications of such
- Good knowledge of Sales Force or equivalent CRM tools
- Ability to build strong internal relationships with other departments
- Experience in dealing with ambiguity and problem solving
- Excellent English skills, both orally and in writing
