ARC is currently looking for three Researchers with an innovative mindset and good collaboration skills. In the role as Researcher you will be a key player in the development of novel aquafeed products and processes for our fast growing manufacturing operations world-wide.
Researcher Protein Functionality
Key responsibilities:
· Planning, coordination and execution of research studies related to protein functionality.
· Test, evaluate and document novel concepts at our laboratory and pilot plant.
· Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders and assist in implementation.
Background and competencies:
· PhD in (Bio-)Process Technology, Food or Feed Technology, Biotechnology, Materials Science or equivalent.
· In depth knowledge about functionality drivers in proteins and how to best utilise, modify and optimise these.
· Proven track record in the development of new concepts and technologies related to protein functionality.
Researcher Feed Production Technology
Key responsibilities:
· Planning, coordination and execution of research studies related to process and product development.
· Test, evaluate and document novel concepts at our pilot plant or external facilities.
· Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders and assist in implementation.
Background and competencies:
· MSc in Process Technology, Food or Feed Manufacturing, Food Technology or equivalent.
· Experience with main feed production operations such as extrusion, drying and (vacuum) coating.
· Demonstrated ability to develop new concepts and technologies related to (aqua)feed production.

Researcher Shrimp or Fish Nutrition
Main tasks include:
· Planning, coordination and execution of research studies related to shrimp and marine fish , larval nutrition
· Management of collaborative projects with internal and external partners
· Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders and assist in implementation
· Provide technical support relating to nutritional issues to our operating companies
Qualifications:
· PhD in fish or shrimp nutrition or related field or equivalent work experience
o Prioirty will be given to candidates with experience of larval nutrition
· Competence in experimental design of animal trials and proficiency in statistics
· Knowledge of shrimp feed formulation and/or aquatic animal physiology/biochemistry is preferable, but not a requirement
Personal skills:
· Innovative mindset, including a hands-on and target oriented mentality
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
· High proficiency in the English language
