Team Manager Corporate Accounting

Höegh LNG is searching for a Team Manager Corporate Accounting to lead the Accounting team based in Oslo. The Team Manager Corporate Accounting shall manage and coordinate entity level accounting and financial reporting activities within accounting conducted in Oslo. This implies an efficient and correct functioning of the day-to-day accounting operation.

Scope of Work: 

• Personnel responsibility and managing the Oslo based accounting managers
• Manage and coordinate accounting processes and transactional services for assigned entities in the group
• Ensure implementation of group accounting procedures manual and that work is being performed in accordance with group accounting procedures manual and routines
• Ensure Oslo accounting team understand and report SOX controls for financial statement close processes
• Maintain and improve internal controls (SOX) for financial statement close processes, invoice handling and payments
• Assist/review on tax filings and JV reporting
• Enforce proper accounting methods and guidelines for the Accounting function
• Perform key controls of assigned legal entities
• Responsible as owner of payment controlling function
• Assist on the completion of statutory financials and annual budgets produced by Oslo Accounting team
• Liaise with the auditors on assigned roles and responsibilities within the Accounting team by ensuring completion of documentation as defined by the auditors' PBC lists during the interim and annual audits

Qualifications 

• Leadership experience preferably from an international environment
• A high degree in Accounting
• Background from accounting, external audit, internal control and/or financial reporting in an international business
• IFRS competence
• Experience from stock listed entities
• Structured and precise
• Proficiency in English written and oral
• Strong inter-personnel and management skills
• Strong drive for continuous improvement
