For a leading provider in global mobile satellite communication, we are searching for a steady and experienced leader to manage the Planning & Control Department.

Inmarsat has been at the forefront of global mobile satellite communications for forty years and is the leading provider of voice and high-speed data communications for users on land, at sea and in the air through its constellation of 13 geostationary satellites. Inmarsat is operating across 4 business units; Maritime, Enterprise, Global Government, and Aviation. With an investment of over $3 billion in its latest network infrastructure, Inmarsat is at the forefront of global mobile communications innovation.

As our Director Planning & Control, you will be a part of the Inmarsat's Chief Operations Office (COO), which plays a vital role managing the services that keep our business running and delivering to our customers. COO consists of 9 functions from Satellite Operations to Customer Service and Service Delivery, Network Operations and Service Assurance to Group IT, One IT, Cyber Security and the Digital office.

With stepping into this role, you will manage the Planning & Control Department, which includes Planning, Master Scheduling, Direct Purchases and Master Data. We are searching for an experienced P&C leader with global merits.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic and tactical plan and implementation of activities to support service levels
• Initiator and leading example to achieve continuous improvement of Operational Excellence
• Manage P&C operational relationships
• Provide framework to support continued growth strategy
• Manage Inmarsat inventories, production planning and shipping schedules
• Maintain optimal level of performance and ensure compliance
• Manage all workflows for planning, scheduling and delivery
• Prepare efficient training programs for all planning processes

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• Master's degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Economics or similar
• A proven track record in P&C operations with a global focus
• 10-15 years of P&C management experience or related area
• An entrepreneurial spirit focused on providing continuous growth and innovation, for employees and Inmarsat
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems required, as well as typical office applications
• Good knowledge of CRM tools
• Excellent English skills, both orally and in writing
