Roche Diagnostics is now looking for a Junior Controller to join their finance team.
This temporary position as Junior Controller will be located within the “Finance and Operations” department and will be responsible for a variety of financial activities. As Junior Controller you will report directly to the Accounting and Controlling Manager. You will work closely with your team members and also be a part of cross functional collaborations throughout the organization. There will be a good possibility for extension of the assignment.
Some major responsibilities will be:
• Act as the first point of contact for cost center owners in terms of managing budget
• Develop internal reports and tools that can help cost center owners effectively manage their assigned operational budget
• Work closely with Accounting and Controlling manager on month end reports
• Estimate the monthly inventory write off provision (Spares and Non Spares)
• Update depreciation file for tax purposes with instrument asset sale and acquisitions
• Ensure the correct posting of expenses to cost centers and cost elements
• Coordinate with Accounting and Controlling Manager and with internal support functions month end reporting on DIS
• Work closely with Accountant on defining commissions and collecting data from cost center owners
• Actively participate in budgeting process (MTO/T0) together with Accounting and Controlling Manager
• Prepare templates for cost center owners to populate
• Act as backup for Accounting and Controlling Manager and Chief of Accountant in periods of absence
Your experience and skills:
• Finance/Accounting/Business Administration degree
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word). SAP (desirable)
• Min. 1 year in similar positions
• Eligible candidates should be customer focus oriented, effective in building strong relationships and be a good communicator
