NOV’s Process Control’s vision is to be the leading and most innovative supplier of automated systems and software solutions relating to control and visualization of drilling fluids and well processes.

As a manager for the Drilling Process department, you will be responsible for managing and further developing the team members and the department’s products and deliveries. As best results are achieved by working closely together, we need a manager that enjoys broad cooperation between all technical disciplines, across multiple departments and who has a good ability to understand systems and how they interact.

The department delivers several products, one of them being our Smart Drilling Instrumentation system that monitors the entire Drilling process, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Other products include systems that are highly customized to the customers needs to interface other systems in to NOV’s complete Drilling Packages.

The department's focus areas are:

• To maintain and further develop products that interface with NOV’s drilling control systems. 
• To integrate small individual control systems or non-standalone systems into one common controller.
• To maintain and further enhance drilling operations with advanced control, data analysis and visualization of drilling and tripping operations, mud volume and pump calculations, well and string geometrics.

As a manager for the Drilling Process department, you will contribute to and be responsible for the technical deliveries of the department by ensuring that we are applying sound engineering principles to develop creative and robust solutions to a variety of challenges. You will coordinate plans across deliveries and projects and follow-up on the team’s deliverables.

You will have:

• Good leadership skills and enthusiasm for developing and leading people
• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably within Automation or Software
• Technical insight and interest, preferably with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of automation/control systems and preferably drilling-related equipment and operations
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English
