Sports team is part of Schibsted’s Media Product & Technology division and responsible for delivering VG Live and Aftonbladet Målservice products as well as Sports data API platform. VG Live holds a leading position for live scores and statistics in Norway, on average serving more than 200 000 users every day. Aftonbladet’s Målservice is aiming for a similar position in Sweden.

As Senior iOS Developer you will be responsible for planning, developing and distributing a native Swift iOS app in a cross-functional team of full-stack developers using the modern frameworks. You will also collaborate closely with Product manager and UX manager, as well as editorial teams. Our team is a tightly knit group of 10 people based in Oslo and Krakow who believe that focusing on our users' problems is the key to building successful products and businesses. We meet several times a year in Krakow, Oslo or Stockholm — and from time to time we travel to exciting destinations to watch sports events and spend some quality time together.

• You enjoy working in the distributed team and can express your thoughts clearly

• You can express your thoughts clearly and objectively, be it at the whiteboard, in Slack or PR review.
• You have a great eye for UI and UX.

Technical skills:

• iOS Development experience with Swift.
• Understanding and utilising architectural and design patterns like Clean Swift or MVVM.
• Passion for readable and well-tested code — unit, integration and UI testing.
• Networking and communication with REST APIs.
• Multithreading in iOS Grand Central Dispatch.
• Ability to work with Auto Layout in code, or Storyboards if that’s your thing.
• Release process — Testflight builds, code signing, streamlining AppStore review process.
• Continuous integration and delivery.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in building and scaling the app to a large and active userbase.
• Excellent command of Norwegian.
• Understand backend architecture patterns.
• Had exposure to backend development.
• Stepped into Android territory.
