Senior Structural Engineer

This position will cover the Structural discipline work for various structural work ranging from subsea manifolds and templates, topsides modifications and topside new build projects. Unless specified otherwise, the normal place of work will be at Company’s offices at Lysaker, however, relocation to Contractor offices (TBD) shall be expected during project execution. Preferably, the selected candidate should have some experience with planning and executing Marine Operations.

Qualifications/requirements

• MSc/Bachelor degree in Structural engineering with minimum 10 years experience

• Experienced in working in multidiscipline teams and offshore development projects

• Broad experience within structural design discipline and preferably discipline lead experience

• Familiar with Norwegian petroleum regulatory requirements and associated standards and guidelines

• Familiar with DNVGL Class rules and requirements

• Fluent in Norwegian and English

Typical work tasks

• Define scope and requirements for engineering studies and project execution

• Follow up structural discipline area engineering

• Ensure compliance with Company, Project and regulatory requirements and standards

• Review of engineering documentation from Contractors

• Follow up structural interface issues between Contractors and Company

• Participate in technical audits and design reviews as required

• Review design development and monitor satisfactory implementation

• Ensure good multi-discipline communication and a contribute to a good working climate between Contractors and Company

• Perform work according to Company expectations and governing documents

• Follow-up of discipline progress and quality of work

• Follow up technical aspects of offshore installation procedures

• Follow up marine interface issues between Contractors and Company

• Participate in technical audits, HAZOPS/HAZIDS and design reviews as required

• Follow up vessel assurance and suitability activities
