We seek a highly motivated and skilled head engineer with MSc or PhD degree in a relevant field for the Proteomics Core Facility at the Department of Immunology and Transfusion medicine, Oslo University Hospital. The position is for a three year period. Experience with biological mass spectrometry is required, and the candidate should be skilled with proteomics data analysis. Candidates must have strong proficiency in verbal and written English.


Duties and responbilities

The successful applicant will participate in a number of projects within different areas of MS-based proteomics. Key tasks will include: 

  • Sample preparation
  • NanoLC-MS/MS analyses and instrument maintenance
  • Proteomics data analysis

Qualifications

A MSc/PhD in a relevant field (e.g. analytical chemistry/biochemistry) Experience with proteomics and high-resolution mass spectrometry Experience and skills for advanced proteomics data analysis is especially desired.
