To strengthen our operations at the Bergneset plant we are searching for a production operations expert to manage the logistics and production planning, scheduling and distribution. This will involve overseeing all supply chain planning operations, planning & execution, systems & data management, reporting & analysis and budget management.

We are seeking a curious individual with a continuous improvement mindset who can identify areas for improvement and work with your team to further evolve the function and wider plant operations. You will enjoy taking a collaborative approach and using your initiative to innovate and bring forward solutions to help our customers thrive and reinforce our role as a true business partner. Reporting in to the plant manager, you will also have responsibility for leading a team of 10 people and be a part of the plant management team.

Main Tasks:

•Ensure close collaboration with production to achieve an efficient operation and ensure a high level of delivery to the customer. Be informed about sales development, forecast, ongoing activities and customer needs.
•Ensure minimum variance in planned and actual OTIF (on-time/in-full) shipments and deliveries
•Ensure operational effectiveness in transport, warehousing, distribution and stock control (counting, moving, sorting, elimination)
•Controlling and sorting out stock situation, including. stock-outs, aging, etc in cooperation with Demand Management/Production/Logistics/Finance.
•Actively search for opportunities and implement measures (continuous preparation) to reduce inventory and logistics costs in collaboration with the management team and operators.
•Managing the logistics team at the plant including workforce planning, development, coaching and performance management
•Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, customer requirements, internal requirements and Cargill's standards related to efficient operation, Health & Safety, quality and food safety

Qualifications:

You will:

•Demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain management principles
•Proven Logistics experience (e.g. Shipping, Transport and Distribution) techniques and planning systems
•Relevant experience in Supply and Production Planning gained in a production/operations environment
•Excellent team networking skills
•Fluent Norwegian language skills and a business level English language essential
•Highly self-motivated and organized individual, effective writing, verbal and presentation skills.
•Proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks concurrently and within deadlines.
•Ability to offer creative solutions and resourceful problem-solving skills


Will be nice if:

•Leadership experience
•Prior experience in building and maintaining management systems e,g, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and other relevant standards.
