Our IT Support Technicians work with all the Elkjøp teams to enable them to work as efficiently with the IT services provided as possible. We consider Elkjøp employees as our customers and provide timely, accurate, and professional support. A successful IT Support Technician excels in a fast-paced, team environment and possesses excellent communication skills, having a high degree of technical aptitude over a large scope of IT software, hardware, and networking disciplines.

Job description:

As our IT Support Technician, you will handle the day-to-day IT operations at the Elkjøp Nordic Head Office, from hardware setups to account troubleshooting, and provide best-in-class client support. You have hands-on experience across a wide IT scope including PC and Mac hardware, software applications, and OS support experience including installation, configuration and troubleshooting. You are customer focused and motivated by team success. In this role, you will adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with a high volume of request. To succeed, you must be able to demonstrate strong initiative, learn quickly, be flexible, and demonstrate the ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision.

Regular activities include: 

. Windows/Mac OS deployment and support 

. User hardware/software/peripheral support 

. Remote IT support such as chat or phone 

. AV/VC support for meeting rooms

. Hardware procurement and asset management 

. Creating and maintaining documentation 

Basic Qualifications:

. 2+ years hands-on IT Support experience in a production environment. 

. 2+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 10 

. Proven skills in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation. 

. Experience supporting Mac OS X. 

. Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications. 

. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end users. 

. Must have experience with cloud services like Office 365.

Preferred Qualifications:

. Enterprise support experience with Mac or Linux system support & troubleshooting 

. Advanced application support experience including support for Microsoft Office 

. Experience supporting Windows 10 

. Networking & Telecom skills 

. Data Cabling / Computer Facilities 

. Experience with operating and maintaining end user computing services in a large company.

. Experience with delegating support tasks to outsourcing partners.

You understands problems and issues rapidly, solve problems in a creative and prudent way and develop practical and sustainable solutions. in addition, you are persistent and able to work under pressure; show a large extent of operational readiness and is efficient even under pressure.
