To take our production to the next level we are studying opportunities for further automating our manufacturing and seek for a automation engineer to work with our manufacturing and R&D team to continue this exiting journey.

Essential Responsibilities:

·        Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to automation opportunities

·        Develop and implement automation solutions in manufacturing

·        Robot software and logic programming (Omron/Siemens, ABB RobotStudio etc.)

·        Engage in NPI’s and support with DFAA (Design for Automated Assembly)

Qualifications/Requirements:

·        Robot software programming (ABB RobotStudio or equivalent)

·        Logic programming and user interface design (Omron / Siemens etc.)

·        Machine vision for automation

·        Automation sensor and I/O knowledge

·        3D modeling and rapid prototyping

·        Knowledge of Industrial Networks and web architecture understanding

·        Bachelor degree (or equivalent knowledge/experience) in automation, cybernetic, software/programming or other electrical engineering

Desired Characteristics:

·        Good communication and presentation skills (Norwegian and English)

·        Excellent problem-solving skills

·        Work experience within robot programing and automation

·        Strong collaboration skills both internally in Horten (manufacturing and R&D) site and externally (Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in GE and research programs/universities)
