Project Strategic buyer/Procurement Lead

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning, managing and carrying out major procurement project processes
• Responsible for further development of project strategic contract and supplier management in IK Norway and negotiate favorable terms and long-term contracts with suppliers
• Interface between internal engineering and suppliers to meet project requirements
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for procurement of goods, services and supplies for external and internal business processes
• Identify, participate and follow-up supplier audits
• Input to Equipment Storage management
• Establish and ensure continuous improvement of the project procurement processes
• Establish and provide Key Performance Indicators for project procurement activities and maintain progress reporting for all project procurement activities inhouse and at supplier’s facilities.
• Perform work in compliance with all applicable HSE&Q regulations and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and or good understanding of Mechanical Eng./Machining/Fabrication Relevant experience with purchasing
•  Experience from similar industry
• Relevant bachelor`s degree (work experience can compensate for lack of formal education)
• Able to prepare procedures and evaluate contracts
• Norwegian oral and written preferred (willing to learn/take course)
