We are looking for a structured, ambitious and positive person with the ability to work both independently and in multi-discipline teams. You are systematic in your approach, and strive to standardize products for better efficiency and cost optimization. Your main focus is on product quality. You are a problem-solver and a skilled communicator across disciplines.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Concept development, product design and system integrations of Pipe Handling, BOP handling and Drill Floor equipment.
  • High skills in 3D modeling and 2D drawings for presentations, bid and manufacturing.
  • Documentation:
    • Write products documentation including testing procedures
    • Responsible for documentation according to project specifications.
  • Delivery of products according to plan, budget and good quality.
  • Maintain product knowledge, experience transfer and continuous improvement.
  • Support and/or attend R&D projects/concepts/studies.
  • Continuous cost and product optimization on existing products (Value Engineering)
  • Technical and commercial support for our sales department.
  • Responsible to complete specifications for purchasing.
  • Fabrication & Assembly follow-up
  • Verification & Test follow-up.
  • Multi-discipline cooperation.
  • This position may involve traveling internationally.
  • Assisting ongoing Cameron Sense On/Offshore projects.

Qualifications & personal attributes

  • Technical Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Marine or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
  • 5 years’ experience with drilling equipment
  • High skills in mechanical design (Inventor and AutoCAD)
  • The ability to work as a multi-discipline team player/leader
  • Understand and participate in the hydraulic, electrical and control system of different products.
  • Good computer skills (SAP, Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD).
  • Good communication and co-operations skills.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Interest/experience in drilling operations and drilling equipment development.

This is a permanent position based at Kristiansand.
