Controller to Höegh LNG

About the role

As a Controller in Höegh you will join Group Accounting, consolidation and controlling division and play an important role in ensuring that Höegh LNG meets the Group requirements as defined in internal control procedures at the highest professional standard. 

You will be the point of contact vis-à-vis Accounting Managers in the Group’s foreign offices who are responsible for producing and reporting standalone local financials monthly.

Job duties

Controlling:

• Follow up entities on accounting questions for an assigned set of companies as being the key point of contact from Oslo HQ
• Responsible for the reviewing/controlling reconciliations, variance analysis, manual journal entries and other controls performed by accounting managers for a set of legal entities within the Group in accordance with applicable IFRS accounting standards and internal procedures
• Regularly documenting the performed internal controls
• Assist on maintaining the key controls as defined within Financial Statement Close Process and other accounting procedures
• Assist Consolidation and controlling on the review and reconciliation of adjustment/elimination entries 

Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting 

• Assist Consolidation and controlling in providing analysis and reviews of actual and forecasted numbers
• Liaise with accounting managers and support with regular updates to the annual forecasting of assigned companies/ elimination
• Liaise with Financial reporting on identified accounting issues 

Budgeting and full year forecasting 

• Assist Consolidation and controlling with annual budget process(es)
• Collect data for updates to full year forecasting

We are looking for

• Interest in and good understanding and knowledge of internal controls
• Solid understanding and experience with accounting procedures and IFRS
• Strong numerical skills
• Good excel expertise and interest in developing adhoc reports and management reporting tools to meet Management requirements
• Proficiency in English
