Field engineer for Fluids PL metering services

Expro Petrotech is currently recruiting for Field Engineer with base in Haugesund, Norway.

The Field Engineer will be part of the Expro Petrotech Metering Service team that provide a range of services, onshore and offshore, in Norway and internationally.

Expro Petrotech is part of the global Expro Fluids Product Line (PL), but is also delivering services in cooperation with other PLs, mainly the Well Testing, Meters and Wireless Well Solutions.

The services offered to our international clients comprises various tools and techniques for multiphase sampling and flow measurement of gas-condensates and oil during both exploration and production stage of field developments. The techniques are often combined to overcome the shortcomings or verify the performance of conventional metering solutions and provide PVT data for flow computers.

The technology is developed and most tools manufactured by Expro Petrotech in Haugesund. Skills within various disciplines is therefore required to handle both tools and field applications.

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

• Provide specialist and standard PL services (sampling and field chemistry)
• Specialize in multiphase sampling and metering services
• Maintenance, testing and calibration of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment at the base in Haugesund and Expro bases abroad. 
• Prepare and mobilize equipment for field work
• Execute and report field work in Norway and globally, onshore and offshore.
• Participate in design, manufacturing, assembly and testing of new tools
• Work as part of the Expro Petrotech ‘flying squad team’ when training has been completed according to the Expro Competency system.
• Give international technical support and training of others
• Long term target to take Project Management and Job Supervisor roles
• Field work on call-out, possibility for offshore schedule

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Science degree BSc/MSc or HND
• Relevant background from one or several of the following fields;
• Tool related: Electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering (tool related)
• Application related: Petroleum engineering (well, reservoir and production technology), fluid dynamics, thermo dynamics/EOS (PVT), instrumentation and sensor technology
• Previous relevant experience of working in the field
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)
