The Fishery & Research Business Unit is looking for a

Senior Business Controller

Our new senior controller is assigned the controlling responsibility for the business area, which today consists of companies in Bodø (former Rapp Marine ) and at Averøy (former Triplex). The business unit has a strong global market position in electrical and hydraulic winch-and cargo handling systems. Especially for fishing and research vessels. Total turnover of the unit in 2017 was approx. NOK 650 million and the approx. number of employees is 171. The business area is an important part of the MacGregor growth strategy. All deliveries in the company are mainly organized in projects. The positon is located at our office in Bodø.

As our Senior Business Controller you will be the lead person for securing availability of relevant financial reports across the business unit. You will be extensively involved in analyzing and presenting business and project performance, consolidation of information and reporting of forecasts. You will rapport in line to the Director of the Business Unit and in financial matters to CFO in MacGregor Norway.

Main Tasks:

• Business Partner – key controlling competence for the top management in the Business Unit and MacGregor. Proactive approach.
• Focus on all the financial aspects of projects. Ensure a complete overview of the performance of each project as a basis for reporting and forecasts.
• Develop the financial function in the unit and MacGregor/Cargotec.
• Financial reporting to the business unit and MacGregor.
• Responsible for financial forecasting.
• Liquidity management.
• Ad hoc Analysis.

Professional Competencies

• Financial or business administration degree preferably on Masters level.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior financial or controller positions that includes. financial analysis, performance improvement projects and reporting.
• Advanced user of ERP solutions such as AX and SAP as well as HFM and project management systems.
• Local and international accounting principles, NGAAP and IFRS in particular.
• Advanced excel and database skills.

• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Solid understanding of business reporting processes, systems and software.
• Ability to deliver accurate and time relevant financial analysis and presentations.
• Creative and self-going.
• Proven ability to communicate and co-operate at all organizational levels, as well as giving presentations in groups and meetings.
• Solid working knowledge and awareness of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Work requires professional written and verbal English.
