Senior HSEQ Advisor

Expro are currently recruiting for a Senior HSEQ Advisor to join their operation based in Stavanger. The successful candidate will provide information, advice and support on Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, Quality matters within the Region. This position provides support to line management, ensures the maintenance and development of effective and pragmatic management systems to achieve key performance results and effective audit/ training/ competence/ performance monitoring processes. Working with employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve and define practical means of achieving improvement is a key role.

Principal Accountabilities 

• Monitor current and pending legislation for impact in Norway and support development and delivery of action plans to ensure compliance.
• Ensure the maintenance of procedures and standards in line with company-wide standards, local operational and legislative requirements and learning from audits, incidents and other improvement opportunities.
• Provide support to Business Development in support of Tender compilation and support for Client HSE and HSE performance reviews.
• Preparing monthly performance reports for the Region and Area management in a precise and timely manner.
• Support investigations into safety and quality failures. Ensure investigations conducted by line management are of adequate breadth and depth and learning effectively captured and communicated.
• Review alerts and ensure learning from alerts is incorporated into management systems.
• Identify topics requiring improvement and promotion across the company. Develop promotional materials for communication of critical topics.
• Ensuring routine facility tours are conducted with interaction with the workforce. Conduct Client worksite tours as required.
• Ensure planned Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality audits are carried out based on current procedures and report findings to senior management.
• Provide HSEQ information/ presentations to management, regulators and customers as required. Support Client and Third Party audits carried out on Expro. 
• Reporting to Area Manager on HSEQ, ensuring the QMS system is established, implemented and maintained.
• Support Supply Chain with monitoring and auditing of local vendors and subcontractors.
• Effectively maintain HSEQ reporting data through effective use of company management systems such that company HSEQ targets are met or surpassed.
• Risk Manager - Ensure that the creation and review of Risk, Manual Handling and COSHH assessments are conducted in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Encourage and develop inter-company / inter-base co-operation at all levels. Looking at resource sharing, thus establishing the Region and the Group to meet its contractual obligations.
• Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to people or the environment arising from the work activity.
• Show personal leadership in HSEQ.
• Maintain local processes and procedures in line with the requirements of Corporate requirements and those of the ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Drive Continual Improvement of HSEQ performance by the planned and strategic implementation of tools and techniques in order to effect change and foster a culture of excellence.
• Assist in setting Norway objectives and targets (Excellence in Operations plan). Monitor performance against defined objectives and targets.
• Delivery of HSEQ training and ensuring the support is provided to all HSEQ members of the team, in order to deliver HSEQ training.
• Develop and maintain the base security and emergency response plans in line with ISPS and Company standards.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications 

• Previous experience implementing HSEQ Management Systems
• Audit role for internal and external company processes
• NFKR/NS certification on par with UK equivalents OR EOQ for certification as Manager/Auditor within Quality-/ Environment-/ Occ. Health and Safety (HSE)- /Risk management – preferred, or working towards
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001
• Understanding of the Norwegian rules and regulations (knowledge of NORSOK S-standards (HSE) relating to the workplace
