Introduction to the Job

To support the Tender and Commercial department within Subsea Norway & Russia, TechnipFMC ("TFMC") in Stavanger is looking for a Sales Engineer. You will be part of a team consisting of enthusiastic and dedicated people interacting with several departments in TFMC.

Job description

As Sales Engineer, you will be given the opportunity to make an impact and play a key role in the preparation of tenders for new projects and provide commercial assistance to Business Development initiatives. The position gives a unique exposure to commercial and strategic areas of TFMC in addition to being close to the decision makers. The work is very much multidisciplinary and gives important experience within all levels of TFMC operations.

You are meant for this job if

  • Formal university education in Engineering (B. Sc.) and/or economy.
  • Good knowledge of TFMC contracting principles and core business, especially Subsea business
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Minimum 5 years project experience
  • Ability to take initiative and to adhere to procedures and processes
  • MS Excel super user and ability to adapt to new software quickly

Main accountabilities:

  • Initiate the tender process in liaison with Tendering Project Manager.
  • Issue of sub-contract ITTs in liaison with sourcing / procurement department.
  • Contractual and commercial evaluation of sub-contractor responses.
  • Preparation of pricing for tender and co-ordinate pricing reviews.
  • Preparation and co-ordination of commercial qualifications.
  • Provide commercial assistance to business development initiatives.
  • Client prospects follow-up in TFMC's CRM software
  • Consolidate and feed market trends and strategic demands back into relevant departments
  • Participation in the pre-qualification process for new prospects.
  • Providing input to the "tender database" (i.e. feedback on cost / schedule data from projects & suppliers).
