Sensors and Robotics is one of the divisions in Kongsberg Maritime. The division comprises the businesses of Subsea (Horten), Sensing Solutions (Trondheim) and Kongsberg Seatex (Trondheim). The division will focus on further development of product-oriented businesses and operations based on a strong technology platform. The division will play an active role shaping the new and strengthened Kongsberg Maritime.

Sensors and Robotics delivers instrumentation, advanced sensors, communication solutions, unmanned underwater and surface vehicles to international markets on- and offshore, merchant marine, subsea, navy, coastal marine and aquaculture. The Sensing Solutions business unit delivers sensing systems for rotating machinery, condition monitoring and tank level gauging applications.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Technological strategy and innovation activities for the business unit
• Management of R&D department
• • Resource management of highly skilled, independent personnel
  • Competence development
• Responsible for R&D budget
• Responsible for delivering Product Development projects
• Focus on solid business cases

Requirements

• Master or bachelor within technical areas such as (but not limited to) mechanical engineering, cybernetics, electronics, computer science, industrial design, industrial engineering and technology management.
• Experience as manager
• Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
