Are you sales-oriented and customer-focused? Are you experienced in or looking for an entry level position in travel marketing and e-commerce? We're seeking to fill one temporary French-speaking role until mid-2020 (due to maternity leave), with the potential for extension. The primary purpose of the position is to generate revenue and enhance the online customer journey, specifically by taking responsibility for and ownership of the French website.

As Hurtigruten is in a digital growth and transformation phase, the Web Editor will be expected to quickly adapt to change and to assist the team in both small and large-scale projects, plus ad hoc tasks.

Reporting to the Global Digital Manager, the role will work closely with the local French sales team, global teams based predominately in Norway and our call centre in Estonia.

We are looking at a start date in October 2019 and would consider a 50% or 100% position. Please submit your CV and cover letter in English.

Tasks

  • Edit and update French website content
  • Support the Digital team with other localised websites and digital projects
  • Monitor and optimise website/s for SEO
  • Support global and local B2C and B2B marketing and sales campaigns
  • Identify bugs and website improvements
  • Collaborate with external parties including web developers, creative and media agencies
  • Cooperate with colleagues across departments to create efficient work flows and support Commercial targets
  • Adhere to brand and marketing guidelines
  • Assist to enhance the online customer journey, working closely with CRM
  • Analyse website analytics, monitor sales performance and make suggestions for improvements and CRO

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in a business, commerce, marketing, IT or communications-related field
  • Up to 2 years' work experience, preferably in the travel industry and/or with global brands - this role is suitable as a first or second professional role in E-commerce or Marketing
  • Experience working with digital marketing channels and websites including Content Management Systems (EpiServer would be advantageous)
  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics and digital marketing (including email, PPC, display, native, social, affiliate and content marketing)
