About the role
 
The Solution Developer role focuses on designing, building, deploying, and testing solutions across services, applications and enterprise portals. Solution Developers are involved throughout the project lifecycle. They are working closely with technical leadership and functional teams to understand project requirements, manage client relationship and change requirements, and proposal development.
As a Senior Solution Developer, you will define a project’s functional and technical design and lead the coding and testing efforts, ensuring that the Avanade deliverable meets client business requirements. You will often be responsible for delivering all phases of the project – including plan, analyze, design, build, and test. Often you will coordinate efforts across country borders with teams consisting of onshore, near-shore, and offshore team members with diverse roles.

Day-to-day, you will:
 
• Design and build full-stack applications that are suited to agile processes and to enable use of good CI / CD practices
• Gather and define technical, operational, and user requirements to deliver end-user functionality
• Define technical, operational and user requirements, create conceptual architecture and solution-design materials, and develop the solution against the design
• Develop and implement appropriate quality-control and testing procedures
• Coordinate with and leverage near-shore and offshore resources with diverse roles, such as Business analysts, Project managers, Developers, and Testers.
• Collaborate and engage with customers and partners on projects to ensure the delivery of great solutions
• Be an active part of the Software Engineering Talent Community contributing insights and feedback from client implementation challenges, recommending new capabilities that simplify adoption and drive further value from the use of Azure cloud services
• Occasionally be leading more junior team members
• Travel as needed

About you

You are a seasoned developer and a big-picture thinker. You think analytically but know how to execute practically. you will have a full understanding of client delivery as well as being commercially astute. You are passionate about technology and love learning new skills and specializations.

• Azure / IaaS & PaaS / Infrastructure as Code
• MSSQL / TSQL / Entity Framework
• TFVC / Git / Source control
• NuGet / NPM / Package management
• Automated unit and integration testing
• Experience operating in an agile project
• Experience operating with CI / CD processes
• Understanding of compliance and risk management including security and privacy
 
Your general developer skills likely include:

• Advanced skills in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining applications
• Development of desktop and web solutions
• Demonstrated experience in application development, coding best practices, application-testing and component design
 
Your business skills likely include:
 
• Prior project and consulting work
• Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both orally and in written form
• Ability to work with global teams and interact with external clients in a professional growth market

Norwegian and English language skills are a requirement for this role

You likely have around 3-5 years of relevant client-facing work experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field.
