As an R&D Chemist in Jotun you will develop and maintain products by preparing, testing and evaluating paint/binder/raw materials, at the same time contribute professionally, both internally and externally to ensure that the goals of the R&D plan are reached, and increase competence in the professional environment.

This position will also contribute by developing and maintaining products under professional guidance by preparing, testing and evaluating recipes, and raw materials according to the R&D plan. As well as participate in administrative work related to patents for Decorative Scandinavia products.

Tasks

Plan and execute tasks according to R&D plan.
Contribute by working out testing and evaluation of recipes and raw materials.
Report results from development and maintenance work.
Search for and make use of relevant knowledge.
Contribute to administrative work related to patents for Jotun Decorative Scandinavia products.
Assist process engineers and production at trial production and upscaling of new or changed products.
Prepare and update product information
Be updated on issues related to hazard classification of raw materials, labelling and new HSE regulations of chemicals, within its field of action.

Qualifications

MSc in organic, polymer or material chemistry
Interest in and preferably basic knowledge of patents

Education

College / University, Master's degree
Scientific subjects

Norwegian
English
